But I actually made some people really mad when I showed them the photo I took, because I didn't know how to air-brush it and it was very realistic looking. So I gave up. I think that church did eventually get a member who is a professional photographer to do it. I do know him and I can't imagine him being hard sell or manipulative . . . although my wife did buy several photos from him during the session.
Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03457723022566193014noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-878914472051909043.post-17989298170232939492013-04-29T16:34:14.264-07:002013-04-29T16:34:14.264-07:00"Whenever I'm looking for goods or servic..."Whenever I'm looking for goods or services and I see Christian fish symbol in the ad...I run.A'

me too. This was announced well in advance.

Another person took those photos and arranged them into a directory, with names and contact information, all in alphabetical order. This was a .pdf file that was emailed to everyone who had email, with the suggestion that we save it to desktop. It's constructed so that it can be changed, and a new .pdf file can be sent with changes, so you can just over-write the old one. If someone doesn't have email, they can have a printed copy from the church office.

The only thing it cost was the time it took to put it together.

If someone wants a "portrait" they can seek out a commercial photographer. That's not what this project was about. The church has done it the other way in the past. I haven't heard any complaints about the new format (that doesn't mean that no one has them, only that I've not heard them :) )

Dana
Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-878914472051909043.post-41288486326084007172013-04-29T08:54:05.338-07:002013-04-29T08:54:05.338-07:00'away' (I might add)'away' (I might add)Steve Martinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13251554325064300307noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-878914472051909043.post-10078609899125140032013-04-29T08:53:18.551-07:002013-04-29T08:53:18.551-07:00Whenever I'm looking for goods or services and...Whenever I'm looking for goods or services and I see Christian fish symbol in the ad...I run.Steve Martinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13251554325064300307noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-878914472051909043.post-75303103965737797862013-04-29T03:46:46.656-07:002013-04-29T03:46:46.656-07:00Alas -
